GoPro GPRO has been in beast mode over the last six weeks and the stock has more than doubled in price. The company is trying to show it is more than "a camera on a stick," a phrase Bob Byrne coined recently. I'm not into high action sports nor looking to put a camera on my dog, so I have yet gpro use the product; options, I'll reserve judgment. One thing I do know, however, is there is plenty of volatility around the stock, which may create opportunity. GPRO options have hit the market in grand fashion. There was no waiting for weekly options, which may present a decent trading opportunity over the next week on a very small scale for the most aggressive trader. Looking at the daily chart for the stock, there are three months of data to use, which I find to be plenty for a name this gpro. Several times, we've seen these consolidation options followed by breakouts. I believe the stock is due to consolidate once again. Even with options consolidation, I would look for movement within the week. Given these two numbers, I am setting up ratio spreads on both sides to play the gpro move. This does involve both naked puts and calls, so it will be a small play. Furthermore, I could consider adding a far out-of-the-money call and put to create unbalanced butterflies and define risk rather than using ratio call and put spreads. Gpro I said earlier, I expect some pullback, but Stock am waiting until the last 30 minutes of the day to make the trade, so I'll have plenty of time to establish expected cost this morning.
